Around and about Vila Alegria Lagos

Figueira is 15 mins walking distance to a secluded unspoilt beach and 5 mins by car from the fishing village of Salema and a mile from Parque da Floresta golf and leisure resort. This truly charming village with narrow cobbled streets also has all amenities.

Figueira is situated half way between Lagos and Sagres/Cape St Vincent next to a National Park. It is a truley unspoilt village with all the necessary amenities close to hand i.e. shops, restaurants and a few local bars. It is within easy walking distance to unspoilt beaches and a short car journey from many more beaches e.g. Salema (5 minutes), Martinhal (10 minutes) with its windsurfing and diving school.

Parque da Floresta Golf and Leisure resort with Spa is 1 mile inland. Lagos has many more shops, bars and clubs amongst winding cobbled streets and pavement restaurants. It is also a town of history with the slave market and town walls dating back to the Roman era.

Sagres and the most Westerly point of Cape St Vincent is worth a visit, where there is a museum and light house.Nearest airport is Faro,approx one hour drive/107km on the A22 dual carriageway to Lagos, EN125 from Lagos to Figueira.

Car hire is recommended but public transport is available.
