Vale do Lobo Tennis Academy
Vale do Lobo Tennis Academy is the largest tennis centre in the Algarve. It used to be a David Lloyd Tennis Centre, but is now owned by Premier Sports (who also run the Vilamoura Tennis Centre). It has everything to offer you for an Algarve tennis holiday, whether you want lessons, competition or just some social tennis. I must admit it is hard to fault its facilities (which are first class) or its location in Tennis Valley, at the heart of the beautiful Vale do Lobo resort.

Coaching
The Tennis Academy provides coaching and events all year round. It is available to all ages, from juniors through to senior adults and can be taken on an individual or a group basis. They also arrange tournaments, to test out your newly acquired serve and volley technique and some social events, so you can get to know other tennis buffs better, and bore each other with stories of your epic five-setters.

Professional Events
Being a top class tennis facility, Vale do Lobo Tennis Academy attracts some national and international tennis fixtures, including an annual ATP Seniors Tour competition, the Vale do Lobo Grand Champions, and the Portuguese Ladies’ Open. I went to see the Grand Champions tournament a few years ago and had a great time sipping rosé wine in the grandstand whilst listening to John McEnroe shout and complain his way through to the final.
