Santa Eulalia Beach Club - AlgarveThe Santa Eulalia Beach Club, Algarve is a  aparthotel in the Algarve’s most popular tourist resort of Albufeira. Albufiera has two main parts to it; the Old Town, which is quite cosmopolitan and charming, and the Strip, which is an area 3 km to the east of the Old Town. This is Albufeira’s real ‘touristy area’. It is an area, which runs down from Montechoro to the Praia d’Oura, and is packed with bars, restaurants and souvenir shops. It is a lively place with loads of nightlife, from Karaoke, live music and clubs which stay open until the early hours of the morning.
The Santa Eulalia Beach Club Algarve is near to the Strip. It is about a 10-minute walk away. The advantage of this is that if you want the facilities and the nightlife that the Strip has to offer, it’s all within easy reach, but far enough away to be away from the noise. It is suitable for families and couples.
If you’re after the beach, then the Santa Eulalia beach, one of the best beaches in the area, is also a 10-minute walk away. It is downhill on the way there, but a fairly steep climb on the way back.
The Santa Eulalia Aparthotel is a collection of 124 self-catering apartments spread over 5 floors. It is a 3-star establishment, so don’t expect 5-star facilities, although there are some good deals to be had even so. Rooms are generally spacious and clean. Each Santa Eulalia apartment has a kitchenette, TV and a private balcony, although some of the balconies are so small, it is difficult to get two chairs on them. If you want air-con, then you can pay a deposit (refundable) at reception for the remote control to operate it. Some of the rooms have distant views of the sea, but as the hotel is situated on a busy road, some of the rooms on the road side can be quite noisy.
Facilities at Santa Eulalia Beach Club - AlgarveOutside there is a pool, with a smaller pool for children. It is not a huge pool and in the summer months is gets very busy. If you want a sun-lounger, you’ll have to be up early in the morning to get one. There is also a grassed garden area with loungers and umbrellas away from the pool area.
There is a snack bar, where you can get drinks and ‘cheese-toasties’, but this doesn’t open until late morning, so you’ll have to go to one of the nearby bars if you don’t want to make yourself breakfast. Always recommended is Wild Coyote which does a good ‘full-English’ and is only a 2-minute walk away. If you need to stock up on food and drink yourself, then there is a good supermarket just down the road.
At night, entertainment (of varying standards) is laid on in the modern reception/bar area and you need never fear missing an important football match as they have a large screen TV on hand.
