5-star luxury in the Quinta do Lago Hotel

The Quinta do Lago Hotel is in the southwest corner of the Quinta do Lago estate, in a beautiful location, on the edge of both the Ria Formosa Nature Park and the San Lorenzo Golf course. It is only a 20 minute drive from Faro airport, making it very accessible for weekend breaks as well as holidays.

It is an up-market Algarve resort being a haven for peace and seclusion and is a perfect place to get away from the stresses of life. If you like sports, then you will be spoiled by what’s on offer, particularly if you love golf. There are plenty of restaurants, of all styles available in and around Quinta do Lago and luxury shopping, should you wish to dispense of large amounts of money.

The Quinta Do Lago Hotel is a five star hotel with 141 rooms, including 20 suites, and reports of the hotel are generally very positive. The Quinta do Lago hotel staff are very friendly and the service is excellent.

It has two restaurants, an Italian style and a Portuguese/international one, and the Laguna bar, with lovely views over the Ria Formosa.

The hotel caters for all sorts of sports and leisure activities. There are 2 floodlit tennis courts (with instructors available for tuition if required), indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools (including a children’s pool), a health club and a Spa, for massages and various other treatments.

Other activities available within the resort include horse-riding, all manner of water sports, cycling, bird watching and fishing.

Kids are welcomed and well catered for. If you want, the hotel has a children’s club you can use, to get a few hours to yourselves.

If you want to play golf, then the Quinta do Lago hotel have guaranteed tee times on both of the Quinta do Lago golf courses and you’ll also get discounts on the standard green-fees. You will also be eligible for a discount on green-fees at the Pinheiros Altos golf course (on the Quinta do Lago estate) as well as a number of other courses in the Algarve. These can be booked through reception.

The hotel also has packages available at various times, including meals and golf at both Quinta do Lago and other Algarve golf courses.

If you just want to relax, then you can wander around the estate or take a walk along the Ria Formosa nature trails. The 3 ½ km beach is only a few minutes walk away across the footbridge over the Ria Formosa.
