All you need to know about flights to Algarve

Most holidaymakers to the Algarve arrive by plane, taking flights to Algarve’s only airport at Faro. Air travel to the Algarve is the only practical way of getting here for most people, and each year nearly three-quarters of a million people do so. Flying to the Algarve is the quickest way to get here, with flight times from the London, being a little under three hours.

Cheap flights to the Algarve

With the advent of cheap flights to Algarve, getting here has never been easier. There are whole raft of operators eager to take you’re money and with flights from most UK airports. Because of the competition nowadays, there are some excellent deals to be had.

Generally to get the cheap flights to Algarve, you should book as far in advance as possible. This is the way to obtain the lowest possible price.

Faro airport is also served reasonably well from other European countries, with plenty of flights to Algarve from Germany and Spain in particular. Long-haul flights, from places such as the United States currently do not serve the Algarve directly. A change at Lisbon or London will be required.

Once you’ve arrived at Faro airport, you’ll want to get on to your final holiday destination. If you are on a package holiday, you’ll be met by your tour rep and taken to the transfer coach. If you are travelling from Stansted to the Algarve, perhaps you could take advantage of the meet and greet service offered by Crown Parking Services at Stansted Airport. For a small charge they will meet you at the airport and valet park your car in a secure compound until your return, when your car will be waiting for you. Takes some of the stress out of travelling don't you think?
