Castro Marim Golf Club




Castro Marim Golf Course in the Eastern Algarve


Located close to the historic town of Castro Marim, Castro Marim Golf course is a 5,760-yard (5,265m), par-71 course which opened in 2001. It boasts impressive views of the River Guadiana and the Atlantic and also the Sapal Nature reserve.

It is quite an undulating, up-and-down course, with some blind shots to greens. Despite some tight drives and a few water hazards, it is a fair, if not overly long test of golf. It is definitely suitable for all levels of golfer and so is a good choice as a holiday golf course for your Algarve holiday.

After your round, you can relax, in the mediavel castle styled clubhouse, and enjoy some good food and a drink. Overall it is good value for money, but factor in the additional cost of a buggy if you don’t fancy negotiating the hills.

If you want to play, then you will have to show a valid handicap certificate, and the maximum handicap for men is 28, and for ladies, 36. Also, soft spikes only allowed.
