It has a cliff-top location with some lovely panoramic views of the sea. It is designed in a Moorish Algarve village style, so it does have a bit of character. The holiday accommodation consists of 66 apartments, townhouses and villas, part timeshare and part privately owned. You can easily walk into Carvoeiro town, but beware - it’s a bit of an uphill trek back. If this is too much for you every day, then the resort facilities include a couple of heated swimming pools, eight restaurants, snack bar and a supermarket (although you may be better using the large supermarket on the road to Lagoa).Being a guest here also entitles you to discounts at the Pestana Golf Resort, with its two courses, Gramacho golf course and Vale da Pinta golf course. Carvoeiro Holiday Villas - Carvoeiro Clube resortCarvoeiro Clube is located just over a kilometre north-west up a steep hill from the main square in Carvoeiro. It has a peaceful cliff-top location with some of the villas having magnificent views of the Atlantic. From the resort it is a pleasant stroll downhill to the beaches of Praia do Paraiso and Praia do Carvoeiro, which are about 20 minutes away (but remember it is uphill on the way back!).Carvoeiro Clube has been around since the 1970s and has always been quite an upmarket Algarve holiday resort. Accommodation here ranges from one and two bedroom apartments to 5-bedroom luxury villas. All the villas have their own pools and gardens and are privately owned, so décor and facilities tend to be of quite a high standard. All facilities are on-site including restaurants, bars and shops. If you like sport then you’ll enjoy the Carvoeiro Clube de Tenis and the fitness centre, which is located on the resort. There is a large range of activities to occupy all ages and interests. This makes it an ideal place for couples, groups and families. There’s a Children's Club at the nearby Paraiso Country Club (which is open from April to October) should you want to get rid of the kids for a round or two of golf at the nearby Gramacho or Vale da Pinta golf courses. Discounts are available to guests and rounds can be booked at reception. Quinta do Pariso resort is just over a kilometre to the west of Carvoeiro with well laid out and maintained landscaped gardens. As with most of the resorts in Carvoeiro it is situated on top of a hill. So while the town and the beaches are easily reached on foot it can be a steep climb up the road from the centre to get back to your accommodation. A car would be useful, although the resort offers a shuttle bus service to the town centre.
The complex has plenty of facilities - restaurants, tennis courts, children's playground, several swimming pools so is ideal for families and couples. Kids activities are arranged by the ‘Animation team’ (nothing to do with cartoons), to keep them occupied during the day. Most of the villas are privately owned so are generally of a good standard.
Villa Katwijk

Clube Atlantico is an upmarket resort, which is both spacious and secluded. Accommodation is mainly in villas although there are some townhouses for rent.
The resort has a restaurant and a swimming pool, children's playground, and crazy golf, with discounts available for real golfers at the Pestana Golf Resort’s two courses, the Gramacho golf course and Vale da Pinta golf course.
If you want to get about then a car would be useful as it some way out of town. There is however a regular bus service and taxis are not too expensive.
