Balaia Golf Portugal is a fun 9-hole course in the Balaia Golf Village

Balaia Golf Portugal is part of the Balaia Golf Village Portugal a holiday complex/village on the Algarve coast in-between Albufeira and Vilamoura.

Don’t get excited about it being a championship golfing venue though. It is a 9-hole affair, with the title ‘Executive Golf Course’ which is slang for a Par-3 course. However it is an attractive course and is as well maintained as many of the other courses around. It is a reasonable test of golf, with some well places water hazards, although nearly half the holes are under 100 metres (total length 984m).

It is a fun course to play, with undulating fairways, set amongst the pine and cork trees, and ideal place to disappear for a couple of hours from your family holiday. There is a decent clubhouse with bar and restaurant with good views of the sea, when you have finished your round.

If you have come to the Algarve for a golfing holiday, Balaia Golf village Portugal is a good place to base yourself, as Vilamoura’s 5 golf courses are only a 15 minute drive away, and even closer are Salgados golf course and the Pine Cliffs golf course (another 9-holer). Other golf courses in the Algarve can be booked at reception and reduced rates at these courses are available to guests.
