The directory is arranged in regions, from campsites in the Eastern Algarve, through the Central Algarve to Campsites in the Western Algarve.
Campsites have a star rating similar to hotels, and these are shown next to the name of the campsite. Whatever standard of campsite you are looking for, from the most basic, to ones with comprehensive facilities, you're sure to find it.
Eastern Algarve Campsites
Camping Tavira  Tavira campsite is on the beach island, and is only accessible by boat or water taxi from Quatro Aguas. No mobile homes or bungalows, just tents here (which can be hired). It has a supermarket and snack-bar.Open from April to end of September

| Camping Calico  This campsite is a couple of kilometres from the village of Calico and about 10km away from the resort of Monte Gordo. It has 100 touring pitches and 50 permanent pitches. | Camping Armação de Pêra Armação de Pêra campsite is one of 2 campsites near the town and situated just 500m from the beach, is the nearest to Armação de Pêra. It is a large site with 650 touring pitches and 150 permanent pitches. Tents, caravans and motor-homes are allowed. 25 bungalows are available to rent. Facilities include swimming pool, snack bar, 2 restaurants, 3 bars and a supermarket. It is open all year round. In season, this Algarve campsite offers a discount to FICC card holders; just ask at reception.

| Camping Ferragudo Ferragudo campsite is a private site located on the headland, 800m from the beach, and 3km from Portimao. Its has 1440 pitches. Tents, caravans and motor-homes are allowed. Facilities include a snack bar, 2 restaurants, bar and a mini-mart. It is open all year round, but for C.C.L., C.C.N. or F.I.C.C. cardholders only. This is one of the Algarve campsites that is a CCL (Camping Club Lisboa) site and is and is for members only. If you have a British club membership card, such as CC or CCC or MCC and a FICC Camping Carnet you should be okay.

| Western Algarve Campsites Camping Dourada Dourada Campsite is open all year round. The Site is located 5 minutes walk from the village of Alvor and the harbour. Site is quite basic but fairly cheap. It has 700 pitches, and a few bungalows to rent. There is a restaurant, snack-bar, swimming pool and mini-mart.

| Camping Trindade Trinidade campsite is near Lagos and only 200m from the beach. It has 250 pitches, a bar, snack bar, and mini-mart. There is a pool 1/2 km away. The campsite is open all year round.

| Camping Vale da Telha Vale da Telha Campsite is a couple of kilometres from the western cost of the Algarve. coast near Aljezur, which is about 7km away, medium sized Site has pool, bar and a mni-mart. Check before you go that it is still open, as there was talk (summer 2007) of it reverting back to the local council.

| Rural camp site Olhos Negros Olhos Negros campsite is not next to the coast as most campsites in the Algarve are. It is about 12km from the Monchique, a village in the mountains. It is closed in the winter.
